Learn how your voicemails are captured in Spruce
If you don't answer an incoming call to your Spruce phone number, the caller is routed to the Spruce voicemail system such that the voicemail is captured in the ongoing standard conversation with the patient. In this way, patient voicemails are not captured on your cell phone or desk phone but instead all patient communication is captured in a single place.
For any incoming call, you are required to press 1 to answer the call to indicate to Spruce that the call was answered by a human instead of the voicemail on your personal cell phone or desk phone.
Voicemails can also be transcribed by turning on the "Transcribe voicemail" feature as shown below.
