Setting Up On-Call Rotation
To accommodate practices with on-call rotations, Spruce gives you the ability to dynamically configure whose phone rings when a patient calls your Spruce Number and who receives an SMS alert when a patient leaves an urgent voicemail message.
To set who is on-call, open Spruce and go to "Phone Settings," then "Numbers to Ring."
A few details to note:
- The "Numbers to Ring" list is an organization-wide setting. That means that anyone who edits it within their app will be editing it for the entire team, not just for themselves.
- By default, the (real) phone number of the person who originally created your organization will appear on the list. Any additional numbers will need to be manually added (up to 5 numbers).
- If you have a rotating on-call schedule and want different providers notified about urgent messages on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis, simply add or remove the relevant providers' numbers from this list in accordance with the schedule.
