Attaching Files to Spruce Messages

Spruce supports file types PNG, JPEG, and PDF as attachments. To attach files to your message in a standard or secure conversation, you can drag and drop the file into the compose bar, and it will upload. You can also browse for your desired file by selecting the Plus Icon as described below.

On the Web

  1. Open or start a new standard conversation or secure conversation.
  2. Select the Plus Icon at the bottom of the Compose Bar.  
  3. Select your desired type of attachment from the menu (PDF, Picture, Video).
  4. Choose the file you’d like to send, and compose your message.
  5. Select Send to deliver your message.

On Mobile

Sending attachments is also available on iOS and Android.

  1. Open or start a new standard conversation or secure conversation.
  2. Select the desired icon from the Compose Bar: either the File Icon for PDFs, or the Camera Icon for pictures and videos.
  3. Choose the file you’d like to send, and compose your message.
  4. Select Send to deliver your message.

What files types can I send?

Spruce supports file types PNG, JPEG, and PDF as attachments. 

Please note: If a video is sent via SMS, email, or fax, the recipient will receive a link to view the video.

Saving and Printing PDFs

On the Web

  1. Select View File.
  2. The PDF will open in a new window.
  3. From your browser’s menu, select File > Save As  to save the file or File > Print to print the file.

On Mobile

  1. Tap on the PDF to open it.
  2. Tap on the Share Icon in the upper right.
  3. Select where you would like to send the PDF from your phone’s menu.
