How to access the search bar

Here's how to access the search bar on desktop:

Here's how to access the search bar on your smartphone:

Searching by Patient

Patient Name:

You can search for a conversation by first and last name prefixes. You don't have to type the entire name of the patient. Here are examples for how to find a patient named "John Doe":

  • "Jo"
  • "Joh"
  • "Do"
  • "Doe"

You cannot search for this conversation by entering:

  • Joh Do
  • Doe John

Phone Number:

You can search for the patient by phone number in the following format: "(XXX) XXX - XXXX". So if the phone number were 888-333-5555, you could find the conversation by typing one of the following:

  • (888)
  • (888) 333
  • (888) 333 -

You cannot search for this conversation by entering:

  • 333
  • 888
  • 888333

Searching by Tag

You can tag conversations (follow this guide here) to categorize patient conversations and group them however you please.

You can then search for patients based on the tags associated with their conversation by typing "tag:tagname" in the search bar.

Advanced tag searches:

  • To find conversations that have ANY of a list of tags: Use the query "tag:" and then list the tags with a comma between them. For example, the search "tag:A,B,C" would return any conversations that have at least one of the tags A or B or C.
  • To find conversations that have ALL of a list of tags: Use the query "tag:" repeatedly for multiple, individual tags. For example, the search "tag:A tag:B tag:C" would return any conversations that have all of the tags A and B and C.

Limitations:

  • You cannot search for part of a tag. For example, you will not find all conversations with the tag `diabetes` by typing "tag:dia" into the search bar
  • You cannot search for the exclusion of a tag. For example, there is no way to search for all patients who do NOT have the tag `diabetes`.

Searching by Conversation Type

You can also find all conversations of a particular type as follows:
