Managing Notifications

Introduction to notifications

Mobile and web notifications keep you posted on new activity in Spruce, helping you catch every message from patients in a timely manner. Update your Notification Preferences to modify when and how you are notified.

On the web, you can choose to receive pop-up notifications always, never, or for any combination of new patient messages, new team messages, and new Pages.

On your mobile phone, you can choose to receive push notifications. If you use an iPhone, you can get turn on app icon badges. You can choose to be notified always, never, or for any combination of new patient messages, new team messages, new Pages, and new messages from Spruce Support.

Managing notifications from the web

To manage your notification preferences from the web, select the Gear Icon to open your Settings. Select Notifications from the menu. When Desktop / Web is toggled ON (blue) you’ll receive notifications for new activity in Spruce. Your browser may display a dialog box asking you to grant Spruce permission to send notifications. Select Allow when prompted.

Your options for notifications include all new patient messages, all new team messages, and/or all new Pages.

TIP: You cannot manage Spruce mobile notifications from the web. You must manage Mobile notifications from the mobile app.
