Updating your Payment Method

This article contains help to add new billing to a new subscription on Spruce and how to update your billing information. Please note, this information is for clinicians, doctors, or providers on Spruce. If you are patient, please reach out to your clinic directly to update your billing information with them.
Checkout for a Plan on Spruce
If you are on your mobile device please go to the app and go to the trial banner and select the blue "Check Out" button.
If you are on the web version of Spruce, to checkout for a plan, please navigate to the billing page in Settings. There you'll be able to browse plans, select the one that's right for your practice, and checkout.
Update Billing from your Settings
Note: You must be logged into Spruce on your computer (web) version
If you checked out for a paid plan within the Spruce app, after or during your trial, your billing information may be updated on web version of Spruce only so login at from your computer by going to www.sprucehealth.com. Please note access to billing information is restricted to those that are designated in Spruce as "Admins." The first teammate on your account is made an Admin by default and can promote others to admins. For more information about Admins and how to become one, please see our article on managing admins settings here.
If you are an Admin, follow these steps to update your billing information:
- Log in to Spruce on your computer and select the Gear Icon to open your Settings.
- Select Billing.
- Under Billing Details, select Edit Payment Information.
- Update your information, and select Submit.
- Once you have updated your billing information, your new credit card and/or billing address will be reflected in your next billing cycle.
Update Billing from your Invoice
The monthly email containing your invoice also contains a link to update your billing information.
To update your information, find your last invoice by searching your email inbox of the email address where you receive bills. You can search email@example.com as that is who the invoice is sent from or "Spruce Health" to find your latest email with your Spruce invoice. Then, look for the sentence within that email (not the attached PDF) that reads, "To update your billing information, please follow this link." This link does expire so please follow the instructions above if this link is no longer valid.
When you click on that link, you'll have the opportunity to update your payment method on file. Once you have updated your billing information, your new credit card and/or billing address will be reflected in your next billing cycle.
If you can't find your latest invoice email, or if your latest invoice email does not contain a link to update your billing information, please contact Spruce Support via the Support conversation in the app or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note, this information is for clinicians, doctors, and providers on Spruce. If you are patient, please reach out to your clinic directly to update your billing information with them.
Please note that Spruce is priced on a per-user, per-month basis. A user is any teammate, no matter the title, all clinicians, staff, or administrative support.
When you add or remove teammates, your subscription will be prorated for the amount of the billing month they are on your account. You can see more information on Spruce pricing on our Plans page.
