Introduction to on-call rotations

For practices with on-call rotations, Spruce gives you the ability to change whose phone rings when a patient calls your Spruce Number. Setting up on-call rotations uses a Spruce feature called the Numbers to Ring list.

For example, if Dr. Jackson is going to cover for Dr. Smith, Dr. Smith updates her Numbers to Ring list to add Dr. Jackson's Spruce Number. This will cause inbound calls to Dr. Smith's number to be forwarded to Dr. Jackson's number.


Updating your Numbers to Ring list from the web

To update the Numbers to Ring list from the web:

Select the Gear Icon to open your Settings.

Select Phone Numbers.

Select your Primary Number.

At the bottom of the page, there is a list of Numbers to Ring. You can add a cell phone number, Spruce VoIP phone, or a Teammate's name.

To update the Numbers to Ring list from the mobile app:

Select the Person Icon in the top left corner to open your Settings.

Select Phone Number.
