Spruce <> Keragon Partnership

Introduction

Keragon is an automation platform that allows healthcare organizations to connect their different tools to each other and build automated workflows without using any code. It’s basically a HIPAA-compliant Zapier. Spruce has partnered with Keragon such that you can now build automated workflows using actions / events that occur in Spruce. 

Common Use Cases

Because Keragon has leveraged the Spruce public API, the actions available to customers mirror what could be used if someone leveraged the API directly on their own. Here is a list of the main Spruce actions that you could utilize in Keragon.

  • Automatically create and sync contacts in Spruce with contacts/charts in other systems
  • Update patient contact information and vital details in both systems
  • Trigger a message (SMS or secure) in Spruce based on an event in your system. (e.g., appointment reminders, follow-up messages, new patient welcome information)
  • Create a flow where you can one-click open Spruce from an external system and / or open an external system from Spruce
  • Sync conversation events from Spruce to another platform. (e.g. push Spruce messages into the corresponding patient chart in your EHR)

Once you’ve decided to move forward with Keragon, you’ll need access to the Spruce API. The Spruce API is only available for customers on the Communicator plan. To get access to the Spruce API, an admin in your Spruce organization should message Team Spruce in your app and request that we enable the API for your work with Keragon. Once enabled, you can generate API tokens from your settings, under “API & Integrations”.
