Spruce <> Morf Health Partnership

Morf Health is a no-code, HIPAA-compliant workflow automation tool and integration platform designed to help practices streamline operations, sync patient data across systems, and deliver personalized patient communication. The Spruce-Morf integration allows you to automate SMS and Spruce communications based on events in third-party tools like your EHR.

Setting up your Spruce-Morf integration

All you need to get started with your Spruce-Morf integration is a Morf account and your Spruce API key. To enable the integration:

  1. In your Morf dashboard, navigate to the integrations page.
  2. Click New Integration in the top right and select Spruce API Key. Click Continue.
  3. Paste your Spruce API Key and click connect.

Automate Spruce messaging in a Morf workflow

Add the Spruce “Send Message” action to a Morf workflow to automate patient SMS communication. In order to send messages in Morf, configure the following in your destination action:

  • Recipient phone number
  • Message content
  • Spruce internal endpoint ID

Integrating your Spruce account with Morf gives you granular control over message content and delivery timing. Use patient data managed in Morf to dynamically generate message content, and configure workflow pauses to schedule message delivery at precise points within your automation. For example:

  • Automatically follow up with leads that abandon your intake flow via SMS, encouraging them to schedule their first visit.
  • Send automated SMS reminders prompting patients to complete pre-appointment tasks.
  • Schedule appointment SMS reminders to be delivered to patients 24 hours before their visit.

  • Create contacts in Spruce and keep them up to date when data in your EHR changes
  • Trigger a workflow in Morf when a patient responds to a Spruce message
