The Spruce audio library is where you upload and manage all voice recordings - including voicemail greetings, call flow prompts, and custom hold music. Recordings stored in the library can be reused across multiple call flows. Supported formats include MP3 and WAV.

Adding a New Recording
Follow these steps to add a new greeting to your audio library:
- Go to Settings > Phone System > Audio Library.
- Select Add Recording.
- Select whether you’d like to upload a new audio file or create a new recording.
- If you’d like to upload a new audio file, select Upload Audio File and choose the file from your computer or mobile device. You can upload audio files up to 100 MB in size. The accepted file types are .aac, .m4a, .mp3, .mp4, .ogg, .opus, .wav, and .webm.
- If you’d like to record a new audio file directly from your computer or mobile device, select Record Audio and press the red button to begin recording and the red stop button once you are finished.
- Give the audio file a descriptive name that’s easy to recognize. You can also add an optional description with more information. (Tip: you can add the date to your title or description to help organize your audio files).
- Click Save Recording.
Replacing an Existing Recording
If you're looking to replace the audio file in use on a voicemail greeting, call flow prompt, or custom hold music playlist, you can replace the existing greeting from the audio library. This will not change the structure of your call flow or hold music playlist.
Follow these steps to replace an existing greeting:
- While using Spruce on your computer, go to Settings > Phone System > Audio Library.
- Find the recording you would like to replace and select Edit.
- Click the Replace Audio link.
- Select whether you’d like to upload a new audio file or create a new recording.
- If you’d like to upload a new audio file, select Upload Audio File and choose the file from your computer or mobile device. The accepted file types are .aac, .m4a, .mp3, .mp4, .wav, or .webm.
- If you’d like to record a new audio file directly from your computer or mobile device, select Record Audio and press the red button to begin recording and the red stop button once you are finished.

Deleting an Existing Recording
You can delete an existing greeting from the audio library. If you wish to use the existing recording in the future, please download it before deleting the audio.
Follow these steps to delete a greeting from your audio library:
- Go to Settings > Phone System > Audio Library.
- While using Spruce on your computer, find the recording you would like to delete and click the three-dot menu. On the mobile app, click the name of the recording and click Edit.
- Click Delete Recording.
