Introduction to Viewing and Typing Indicators
This Spruce feature allows you to see when teammates are viewing a conversation and when teammates are typing in a conversation. This setting only affects what other teammates in your Spruce organization see.
Patients will never see if a provider is viewing or typing in a conversation. Providers will never see if patients are typing in a conversation or if a patient is actively viewing a conversation. However, you can view message details to see a timestamp of when a patient first viewed a message. Read more about Message and Conversation Details.
After selecting an individual conversation, a message will appear in the compose bar if any of your Spruce teammates are viewing or typing in that conversation. This indicator will be shown in external conversations, team conversations, and note threads. This feature works across platforms, allowing you to see who is viewing or typing in a conversation on web, iOS, and Android.
Please note: Even if you are viewing or typing in an external conversation, patients will not see this activity.
