Introduction to call forwarding

Call forwarding allows you to forward calls to your Spruce phone number to up to five cell phone or landline numbers. If you list multiple phone numbers, all phone numbers will receive the forwarded call at the same time. The first person to answer the call connects with the caller, and the other call attempts are dropped.

Note that in order to answer an incoming call to a Spruce phone number, it has to be forwarded to a cell phone number or landline number.


How to configure call forwarding on the web

Log in to Spruce.

Select the Gear Icon to enter your Settings page.

Select Phone Numbers.

Select your Primary Number.

At the bottom of the page, look for the Numbers to Ring section. Add phone numbers, VoIP phones, and Teammates to create your forwarding list.


How to configure call forwarding on the mobile app

Log in to the Spruce mobile app.

Select the  Person Icon in the top-left corner to enter your Settings page.

Select  Phone Number.

Select your  Primary Number.

At the bottom of the page, look for the  Numbers to Ring section. Add phone numbers, VoIP phones, and Teammates to create your forwarding list.

Please note: if any number in your Numbers to Ring list becomes outdated, we recommend removing the number from the list. Otherwise, calls to your Spruce phone number may be routed to voicemail.
